Alkaio (Al-KAY-oh) Thiele is a teenage actor, singer, and voiceover artist born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. It wasn't until he performed in his first main stage production of High School Musical with ICDT! Performing Arts Center at eleven years old that he fell in love with acting. Immediately following his final bows, he made an enthusiastic decision to pave a professional path for himself in the industry and has not looked back since.

Alkaio is known as the voice of Janner Igiby in the animated series "The Wingfeather Saga," an adaptation of author Andrew Peterson's fantasy-adventure book series. He voices alongside Jodi Benson (The Little Mermaid), Kevin McNally (Pirates of the Caribbean), and Henry Ian Cusick (Lost). The show's popularity has afforded it a second season which will premiere in early 2024. Alkaio's first introduction to voiceover work was with "Adventures in Odyssey," one of the longest-running radio drama and comedy programs still in production, where he fell in love with the work due to the show's collaborative recording practices. In 2024 Alkaio manifested his preschool dream of becoming a Marvel superhero when he began voicing the heroic Spidey (Peter Parker) in the third season of Disney's "Spidey and his Amazing Friends." The series also offered Alkaio opportunities to utilize his singing abilities on the series' album. Alkaio's series regular role in a comedic animated Cartoon Network series rounds out his diverse voiceover work and is expected to be announced in late 2024

Alkaio's TV debut was co-starring as Max Jr. alongside Mayim Bialik (Big Bang Theory) and Cheyenne Jackson (American Horror Story), on FOX's "Call Me Kat." His experience on set not only reaffirmed his love for comedy, but also the kindness and closeness one can find within a Hollywood set family. In early 2024, Alkaio booked his first television series regular role and joined original cast members of Disney’s “Wizards of Waverly Place'' for the sequel, "Wizards," in which he plays Justin Russo’s eldest son, Roman. Alkaio's feature film debut was in Max's "A Christmas Mystery" starring Violet McGraw (M3GAN), Oscar Nunez (The Office), and Beau Bridges, where he had the opportunity to shoot locally in Northern California. Within the same summer he was able to join the cast of Andrew Shea's "I'll Be There," which premiered at multiple festivals and won Audience Choice and Best Narrative Feature awards.

Alkaio's passion for and high level of performative singing, dancing, and improvisation have afforded him numerous notable regional theatre credits. In his role as Michael Hobbs in Ogunquit Playhouse's regional performance of "Elf," he shared the stage with Steven Booth (Broadway's Tina: The Tina Turner Musical) and award-winning actress Diana Huey (Nat'l Tour: Disney's Little Mermaid) while under the direction and choreography of Connor Ghallagher (Broadway's Beetlejuice). The Wallis' unique multimedia concert experience "Love Actually Live" had Alkaio play the lovesick teen, Sam, while he sang alongside a star-studded cast including American Idol's Grace Kinstler, singer/actor Drew Seeley, AGT's Madison Baez, The Voice's Chris Mann, actress Cheyenne Isabel Wells, and Citizen Queen's Nina Nelson. Alkaio additionally received high praise for his singing, dancing, and unique take on his role of The Artful Dodger in 5-Star Theatricals' "Oliver!" Each professional theatre opportunity plants another tiny but hopeful seed of a big Broadway future...

Outside of his professional projects, Alkaio loves to sing, beatbox, bike, hike, climb, travel, play team sports, solve New York Times puzzles, go to extreme lengths to make people laugh, adventure with his family, watch every touring Broadway musical, participate in fellowship, and perform in local musical theatre productions.
